A Colorado truck driver was injured when he became districted and ran off the highway in Pushmataha County on Monday night, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

OHP said Alexander Keyes, 22, of Commerce City, Colo., was taken by Antlers EMS to Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers and admitted in stable condition with head and trunk-internal injuries.

The crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Oklahoma Highway 3, nine miles east of Rattan.

The Patrol said Keyes' 2013 Kenworth was eastbound when he became distracted by phone and ran off right side of roadway, striking an embankment and overturning one-quarter time.

The roadway was clear and dry and Ketyes was wearing a seatbelt, according to Trooper Darrell Wofford. The Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office, Sobol Fire Department, Rattan Fire Department and Antlers EMS assisted at the scene.
