Local slow-pitch softball players to play in All-State Games today

Six local softball players will play in the 2017 Oklahoma Slow-Pitch Softball Coaches Association’s All-State Games today at Tom Heath Field at Lawson Plaza on the campus of Oklahoma Christian University of Science and Arts in Edmond. Heavener’s Carlyssa Sanchez will play for the Large East team in the Large School All-State Game at 3 p.m. Wister’s Stevee McMillin, an OCUSA signee, and Howe’s Braden Dorsey will be teammates on the Middle East team in the Middle School All-State Game at 1 p.m. The Red Oak trio of Hannah Mabry, Shay Stacy and Karsyn Brigance — who verbally committed to the University of Nebraska — will play for the Small East team in the day’s first game, the Small School All-State Game at 11 a.m.
