Child pornography-related charges were filed Wednesday [June 13] in LeFlore County against a Spiro man accused of possession and distribution of graphic photographs and videos of children.

Two felony charges โ€” aggravated possession of child pornography and the publication/distribution/participation of obscene material โ€” were filed against 23-year-old Garrett Nathaniel Bradway. Bradway is being held in the LeFlore County Detention Center in Poteau.

According to the affidavit, Sgt. Terry Winn of the LeFlore County Sheriff's Office was contacted by law enforcement out of Illinois. The detectives were investigating distribution of child pornography online through Dropbox. Dropbox is a file-sharing service where files, such as photographs and videos, can be stored on servers then shared.

A search warrant directed at Dropbox allegedly found that Bradway had accessed a Dropbox which included hundreds of disturbing pornographic images and videos of children as young as 3-4 years of age.

In interview with the Sheriff's Office, Bradway allegedly admitted to the Dropbox account being his and to being aware of the content accessed by his account. He allegedly said he began to look at the content after being linked it by an unidentified user on KiK Messenger. Bradway said he did not like some of the images, but in order to download those he did like he had to download all the Dropbox content, Winn reported.

Bradway allegedly said he could not remember how many Dropbox links he had downloaded but guessed between 20-30 different links.

Bradway added he had a drug problem and had started looking at the images while on drugs, the report added. He has an attorney hearing slated Friday.

A longer version of this report will publish in Thursday's print edition.
